Gunselman Racing officials announces that Geoff Bodine will be driving the No. 64 un-sponsored Toyota Camry in an attempt to qualify for the Daytona 500 on speed.
Gunselman Racing is a brand-new team, started by Larry Gunselman. It will have Geoff and Todd Bodine splitting the driving duties, and Doug Richert will be the crew chief.
While this entry is not sponsored, it does have key funding sources, enabling them to run the team.
Both Gunselman and Geoff hope to draw attention to the US Bobsled Team and Bodine's Bo-Dyn Bobsled Project, and either might will be on the car.
Geoff is a legend, racing for over 50 years. He is the 1986 Daytona 500 winner, making his first Cup start since 2004 and is 59 years young.
In Sprint Cup, he's made 570 career starts, won 37 poles with 18 career wins, 100 top five and 190 top ten finishes.
